Weighted Back Foot

Weighted Back Foot

Thought Process:

keep your weight into the ground until foot strike and use the ground to aid in rotation and transfer of energy into and around the lead hip while pulling out slack and creating tension across the body.

Movement Prescription:

players whose back leg comes out of the ground before foot strike, back foot leaks forward off the rubber into release, jumping out of the ground

keep your weight INTO the ground and rotate from the middle of your body, throw it hard late, create tension into but not before release, get across your body

Common Compensations:

pushing out of the ground, squishing the bug and rotating before landing, staying back too long and never rotating, folding the chest
