FAQS

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we receive.

108 Performance is on the cutting edge of Player Development Nationwide.  The success of the program is based on the results our players have had.  With everyone from MLB, MiLB, College and High School Elites training here, the question isn't why would you choose 108, it's why wouldnt you choose 108!
Baseball is a culture sport.  We don't just play Baseball we identify ourselves as Baseball players.  From the Oakleys we wear to knowing that 6 + 4 really equals 2.  A real Baseball player should also know that their are 108 stitches on a Baseball.  We live, eat and breathe this game.
Tell that to every High School pitcher that went 8-1, throws 81 and didnt get a college scholarship.  Velocity is important but you can't be after cheap velocity.  It can take time and should be developed through a comprehensive and extremely thorough development process.  At 108 we have a testing process that allows us to identify a throwers strengths and weknesses from a mechanical and physical standpoint.  After developing a better understanding of the throwers patterns, sequencing and strength we can determine an appropriate course of action.
We use High Speed Cameras, 2D and 3D motion Analysis sofftware, Motus Tech and a few other gadgets and gizmos to help us understand movement better.
The short answer is yes but it's not that simple.  If a player comes in at 83 with a bad body, poor nutrition, poor mechanics and a high effort/low reward delivery without good sequencing, when it's all said and done he may come out throwing a healthier 87.  The combination of good nutrition, a good S&C program, better sequencing and better arm patterns is really an amazing thing.
We do not allow walk ins and we don't do facility tours during training hours.  We maximize the space we have and when our players are getting after it, they don't like to be interrupted.  However, we would love for you to call or email and set up an evaluation.  This will give us the time to sit down and get to know one another as well as showcase what it is we do here.  We do make exceptions for coaches but we also need to schedule that in advance.
We believe that working in small groups is a better way for players to learn.  It allows them to conect with the training differnetly by seeing and watching the other players work.  It also gives us the ability to COMPETE for certain things like velocity and exit velocity gains.  Matching the training environment to a playing environment can be difficult, but we have seen amazing things happen when a few guys are all outdoing one another.
